Cockadilly Guest House

Cockadilly House is the original dwelling and is largely built of local timbers and river rocks. It is a split-level house with 3 bedrooms on the upper floor – all having a commanding view of the river below.

The middle level has a well-equipped kitchen and dining area that seats 8. The kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas stove and microwave. It also contains smaller kitchen appliances including a kettle, toaster, electric frypan and electric casserole cooker. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils, cutlery and dinnerware. Also on this middle level is a large bathroom with shower, bath & toilet. There is also a separate laundry with washing machine, clothes dryer and sink.

On the lower level is a comfortable lounge room with a large wood fire (firewood provided) that heats the whole house! Two of the three sofas are double-size sofa beds (with doonas, duvet covers & pillows provided). The lounge room has a television with DVD player that is also capable of playing audio CDs.

On the upper level are 3 bedrooms.

• Bedroom 1 has a queen-size bed and an en-suite toilet.
• Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds.
• Bedroom 3 has a double bed.

All bedrooms have access to the en-suite toilet adjacent to the main bedroom via a second door on the upper walkway. Doonas, duvet covers and pillows are all provided and all 3 rooms have overhead fans. The upper veranda has fantastic views of the property and the river below and is a great spot to sit and read in the afternoon.

At the rear of the house is a large BBQ area. There is a large gas BBQ with hood, capable of cooking all meals and able to be used during total fire bans when the open outdoor fire is not to be lit, and a dining setting seating 8. Also in this area is an outdoor hot & cold shower – shower whilst taking in the view of the river below!
